BON-PRO Donates To Phebe Hospital in Bong
–Extends its sincere gratitude to Phebe Hospital and its staff for their tireless dedication and hard work in providing care to the burn victims.
In the wake of a tragic gas tanker explosion in Totota, Lower Bong County, the Bong Professionals Network (BON-PRO) through its Executive Director, Kweshie Tetteh has expressed his profound sympathy to the families of those who lost their lives in a major fire incident in Central Liberia on Tuesday, December 26, 2023.
Bong Professionals Network is a non-governmental professional organization organized by sons and daughters of the county with the same ideology of moving their county forward through programs and activities that will help in contributing meaningfully to the developmental agenda of Bong County.
He said images of the tragedy are deeply disturbing and calls on the public to reach out to the affected families as other requisite institutions of government aid with recovery and treatment efforts.
In light of the tragic incident and the resulting burn injuries suffered by numerous victims, BON-PRO on January 13, 2024, made available several cartoons IV Fluids, Flammable Liquid, Examination Gloves among others to the Phebe Hospital management.
He described the donation as the organization’s initial support to Phebe Hospital in the wake of the recent gas tanker accident in Totota.
According to the organization’s Executive Director, the contribution aims to boost the provision of quality healthcare services and attend to the needs of the affected patients ensuring that they receive the necessary medical attention and care during their recovery period.
He further revealed that a similar donation was made to the 14th Military Hospital in Monrovia.
The Bong Professionals Network Executive Director who was accompanied by some officials making delivery of the medical supply expressed solidarity and also extended heartfelt prayers to all the victims of the fire accident.
The BON-PRO executive Director on behalf of the group disclosed that their thoughts are with the families who have lost their loved ones adding that the global body understands the pain and sorrow that the December 26 tragic event has brought upon the community in Totota.
The group however extended its sincere gratitude to Phebe Hospital and its staff for their tireless dedication and hard work in providing care to the burn victims.
Taking delivery of the donation, Patrick Y. Jackson on behalf of the Phebe Medical Director, Dr. Minnie Sankawolo-Ricks lauded the Bong Professionals Network for the contribution made so far.
The Acting Administrator of the Phebe Hospital and School of Nursing promised to use the presented medical materials for the purpose intended.
