Bong Professionals Network (BON-PRO) has concluded a two-day retreat in Bong Mines, Fuamah District Lower Bong County.
Bong Professionals Network is a non-governmental professional organization organized by sons and daughters of the county with the same ideology of moving their county forward through programs and activities that will help in contributing meaningfully to the developmental agenda of Bong County.
The event gathered over Fifty passionate and dedicated individuals committed to the growth and development of Bong County and Liberia at large.
The retreat provided a platform for members of the network to engage in discussions, reflect on past accomplishments, and strategize for the future. It was an opportunity for professionals from Bong County, both home and abroad, to collaborate, share ideas, and align their efforts toward meaningful initiatives that can positively impact the county’s development and the nation at large.
The retreat featured a series of panel discussions led by seasoned experts across various fields. Topics included leadership development, sustainable economic practices, education reform, healthcare improvements, and community empowerment.
One of the core outcomes of the retreat was the establishment of a detailed strategic plan aimed at creating tangible changes in Bong County. This includes actionable steps toward improving key sectors such as education, infrastructure, and healthcare while providing support for young professionals and aspiring leaders.
A strong theme throughout the retreat was the network’s unwavering commitment to Bong County’s long-term development. Attendees emphasized the importance of collective action and the role of professionals in driving change, both within the county and at the national level.
The Executive Director of Bong Professionals Network, Kweshi Tetteh expressed his deep commitment to the mission of the network and its goals for Bong County’s advancement.
In his speech, Mr. Tetteh reaffirmed his dedication to fostering a professional environment that promotes collaboration, capacity-building, and sustainable growth in Bong County.
“I stand here today with a heart full of hope and determination. The success of BON-PRO depends on each of us, and together, we can create a thriving and prosperous community. Our county is rich in potential, and our network of professionals is the catalyst for meaningful change. I promise to remain unwavering in my dedication to this cause, and together, we will continue to build a better future for Bong County,” Mr. Kweshi Tetteh said.
Under Mr. Tetteh’s leadership, BON-PRO has made significant strides in connecting Bong County’s professionals with key stakeholders across the country, creating a unified voice for advocacy and progress. His vision for BON-PRO is one of inclusivity, innovation, and action.
He emphasized that the network would continue to leverage its collective expertise to ensure that Bong County remains at the forefront of Liberia’s development.
As the retreat concluded, the Bong Professionals Network set its sights on the future, marking this retreat as a pivotal moment in the organization’s journey.
The network is set to implement the strategies developed during the retreat and will continue to organize events and programs aimed at fostering collaboration and professional growth.
For this part, the Board Chairman of BON-PRO, Dominic Rennie, revealed that the intent of the retreat was to allow members of the institution to have a sober reflection on the development of Bong County.
Mr. Rennie, who presided over discussions on the way forward for the entity and how to address some of the challenges and improve the workings of the organization for the benefit of Bongese and the Liberian people admonished members to see Bong County development as their priority.
He has said on many occasions that his ardent goal is to see a reform in development that truly reflects the interests of Bong County and its citizens.
Meanwhile, the owners of Real Farm in Fuamah District, Benjamin Wennie Ngungkpanje, presented an agricultural scholarship to the entity as a means of buttressing their efforts when it comes to education.
Mr. Ngungkpanje and his wife declared their membership with the organization and pledged their support to the entity as citizens of Bong County.
The retreat was attended by legal Liberian lawyer Cllr. David Woah, a proud son of Jorwah Bong District #4 including other foreign personalities.
In closing, members of BON-PRO reiterated their collective responsibility to contribute to the development of their communities, country, and the professional landscape.
The retreat served as a powerful reminder that the vision of a prosperous Bong County is within reach, and with continued effort and commitment, this vision will become a reality.
This year’s retreat was held under the theme: “Strengthening Collaborations to Elevate Bong County.”
