Officials and members of the Bong Professionals Network (BON-PRO) have embarked on a documentary project intended to profile the physical features of Bong County.
Bong Professional Network is a non-governmental professional organization organized by sons and daughters of the county with the same ideology of moving their county forward through programs, and activities that will help in contributing meaningfully to the developmental agenda of Bong County.
The Executive Director of BON-PRO, Mr. Kweshie Tetteh said the documentary is meant to showcase the physical or geographical features of Bong County.
He disclosed that the documentary profiling will help unearth some historical facts about the 13 administrative districts of Bong County.
The Bong Professionals Network Executive Director revealed that the ongoing research and documentary initiative will provide an indepth analysis of the central region of Liberia.
The BON-PRO documentary team landed in the county on Thursday, August 17, 2023 and visited several historical sites including the Bong Rang in Fuimah District#7, the St. Paul River, Salala District. While in those localities, the documentary team interacted with some eminent kinsmen within the historical setting of Salala District.
The team at the same time visited the grave site of the late Chief Nye Suah Coco, the Central Agriculture Research Institute (CARI), Phebe Hospital, Cuttington University among others.
The BON-PRO officials are expected to visit the Kpatawee waterfall and other historical areas in the Kpelle land in Liberia
Mr. Tetteh told the media in Gbarnga, Bong County that the documentary, when completed, will be uploaded to the network’s website as research content, something he said will help to market Bong County to the outside world.
