Officials and members of the Bong Professionals Network (BON-PRO) are troubled by news of the death of several citizens in a fire incident in Totota, Salala District.
Bong Professional Network is a non-governmental professional organization organized by sons and daughters of the county with the same ideology of moving their county forward through programs and activities that will help in contributing meaningfully to the developmental agenda of Bong County.
Late Tuesday evening, a gas tanker exploded into flames after it had reportedly fallen off the road.
Citizens had gone on the scene to collect gas from the fallen tanker when it gutted heavy fire, thus killing about 15 people and severely wounding several others.
The BON-PRO, Executives expressed deep sorrow over the sad passing of Bongese, and at the same time extends it deepest condolence to families, friends and loved ones of those who lost their lives in the incident.
Meanwhile, BON-PRO is calling on every sons and daughters of Bong County cross the Global to observe today, December 27th, 2023 as a time of mourning for those Liberians who lost their lives.
